Spring Bible Study is almost here!

 

Ladies... It's almost Spring!!! Just three weeks away (March 20th). You can feel it in the air and hear it in the songs of the birds!

It's also the same day that our Beth Moore study on The Patriarchs begins. [ Due to the church's annual business meeting being held on a Wednesday in January... it pushed the beginning date of our study to March 20th. We project our final session to be held on May 29th. ]

It's not too late to invite your friends to join you in this Bible study adventure. On Wed., Mar. 20th we will have open registration. You may select the small group you would like to join in with for our weekly study review / discussion. We have a wonderful group of ladies that will be facilitating these small groups: Joni Bokanovich, Kristy Cole, Debbie Conaway, Tammy Cramer-Thomas, Elizabeth DeRoos, Kay Efaw, Sonya Esulante, Carol Hepler,Darlene Kisner, Marsha Lloyd, Lori Teets, Vanessa Roque, and Nancy Sellers. A special "thanks" goes out to them for serving in this special capacity.

I'm looking forward to our time together as we study the covenant between God and His chosen people!

Double Dipped in Love

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him sould not perish, but have everlasting life.

Recently, my sister-in-law was babysitting her three year old granddaughter Ansley.  Ansley loves to be read to, and she found and brought the Bible to her Grandma saying, "Meemaw, read this."

Meemaw took Ansley on her lap and Ansley opened the Bible, pointed to a page and said "What's that say?"

Meemaw said "That says, 'Jesus loves Ansley'."

Ansley quickly turned to another secion of the Bible, saying again "What's that say?".

Meemaw again said, "That says, 'Jesus loves Ansley'."

Again, turning to another section, Ansley pointed and said "What's that say?".

Meemaw, again, "That says, 'Jesus loves Ansley'."

Finally, Ansley turned to another page, pointed and said "I know what that says, Meemaw."

"What does that say?"

"That says, 'Ansley loves Jesus'."

Lord, help me to always remember that Your Word always shows how much you love me, no matter wheter I'm reading about the lives of men and women of God, the chastisement of a nation, or the sacrifice of Your only Son for my sins.  Also, Lord, teach me through Your Word to love and glorify You  through my daily words and actions.

Scripture Memory Team: Verse Four.

Well, how did you do this month?

Honestly, I totally bit off more than I could chew.  I really thought I remembered more of 1 Corinthians 13 than I actually did.  I would say I'm at about 75% for this one. 

Our next verse in from the group verses handed out at the sleepover and in class on Wednesday.  If you haven't received one, just let Tammy know. 

Here's our new verse:
